you should go live in France for a year and then report back to us about how you liked it.

Just a thought.

Same reason that most anti Trump posters disappeared after the election.

Are you not smart enough to figure this out?

Don't you think Macron stands a better chance than Hollande?

How would I know, I'm not French and I don't know anything about their politics, aside from LePens stance on immigration and the EU.

All I said is that due to Macrons overwhelming victory it would appear the French have given him a mandate...so again good for them, I hope he delivers on whatever platform he ran on.

The French did what the French almost always do when it's FN v anyone in the runoff: consolidate.

The Assembly elections are much more important than the elections for President, which is what I was trying to point out to the idiots on here who were boosting Le Pen.

The Assembly can make the President a practically ceremonially position for their entire term if they want. The FN, even if Le Pen somehow won the election yesterday, was never going to have a majority in the Assembly, so the only things she could have passed were her hard-left economic policies and, possibly, her ban on public religious garb and expression.

Macron has a much better chance at governing, because it looks like his party may just absorb the Socialists and leave them with 20-30 seats. He could then work with the Republicans on his economic reforms.

Macron's biggest hurdle is that both the Socialists and the Republicans are going to be pissed at how this Presidential election turned out (especially the Republicans, because they should have won this in a landslide), so it wouldn't shock me if they try to make Macron fail.

Well it sure looks like Europe is heading to the U.S. or rather the U.S. is turning into Europe. But then again you answered the question of why would any one want to go to Europe and eventually you will ask yourself, How did the U.S. not learn from Europe's mistakes.

Not really, most didn't vote for Macron, but more against some worst candidates (like Le Pen, or Fillon).
