Is this occurrence coincidental, if these individuals didn't start out tainted, if not, what morally corrupted them?

Money, and with money comes power, and with power comes corruption. They don't say money is the root of all evil for nothing.

Evil men will always be drawn to positions of power. And positions of power will always bring out the evils of man.

Which is the foundation for limiting the power of government wherever possible.

SJW disclaimer: 'men' is just rhetorical shorthand for people, as it sounds a little more poetic. I know women can hold positions of power too. And that they can be equally evil. Please don't crucify me.

Are you serious? You've never heard this saying before? It's in the Bible. 1 Timothy 6:10

this is just a common meme that dates back to at least the late 70s with the Satanic Panic

pedophilia and killing babies is seen as the ultimate taboo, so when people want to create a boogeyman that is so far removed from their perception of life, it's a common example used. that's why it was linked to Satanists and why it's linked to "the elite" now

Narcissism is almost required to become wealthy and/or powerful in this country. Comes with the territory I guess.

You are a college professor and you've never heard this? It's in the Bible. 1 Timothy 6:10.

I had a history professor who said all men, to some degree we're pedophiles.

Oh I see. I was so incredulous at not knowing the quote. Yes love of money is the root of many evils, but I think there is something else there as well.

I've been working on a thesis of how power, and how it is expressed, is biological, or biosocial, as it seems the "patriarchy" is another term for power. Money is one part of that, but there is something there in the superstructure that people are hesitant to name.

A lot of it is honey traps. If you have something to blackmail someone with, and every one has something, it gives you the ability to make that person conform. Like that scene with the senator and the prostitute in Godfather II.

Romans 1 explains it quite well. Verse 28 is the "reprobate mind" verse I quote often.

of course it is

just like how the people who promote these terms want to use that to create power (through the state, typically) so they get to combat the alleged power that allegedly has hampered their ability to develop

Because they chose not to retain God in their knowledge. Their reprobate minds came shortly thereafter.

What would disrupt their notion is if this will to power was among the "ghost in the machine," or at least could create cognitive dissonance.

if so, Evolutionary Psychology already does this

feminists fricking hate EP and claim its junk science
