First thing I would think of is how great it would be for the entire planet if we had a much cheaper and abundant form of electricity generation.

If energy wasn't an issue, I think it would happen very quickly and follow the drone tech out there.

You would need some very advanced lane infrastructure and I don't think you would want people having much control over them
