There are a few factors here. Namely, did this guy really plan to disappear? This type of crime has no return:
If he left the shooting and immediately went to the airport, (Salt Lake is 35 mins from campus) and boarded an international flight. He would have stepped off the flight this morning. With a massive head start.
You don’t think they didn’t check every flight outgoing with passenger lists. And every Uber or ride-share?
To be honest I think its Antifa and he’s holed up in one of their camps somewhere. Or a safe house they set up long beforehand.
He’ll get caught. Or found dead.
No one has mentioned, could he have worn one of those form fitting face masks? Some are hardly noticeable

Don’t forget guy had a phone in his pocket
I don’t think thats a phone. It looks gigantic if it is. Whats the biggest model made?

That's something that briefly crossed my mind... but I dismissed it because I feel like he would have WANTED his face better seen and described, rather than depending on a hat and glasses.

I thought about this. I’ve seen some convincing ones on videos.

Oh I’m sure they did, but it seems like right now as we speak we don’t even have a full ID. This guy could be around the world, boarded another flight or several others and be walking the streets of a country in Asia. It’s what I would have done. Considering the crime is of no return. Not out of the realm of possibility to be getting help either in the US and holed up somewhere. If that’s the case I feel better about a capture.

Likely the shooter isn’t from there.
Could the plane Candace Owens was talking about got his arse out of there shortly after it happened?

I mean it's not like it is just coming to light.
She said that the day it happened when CK got killed.
Why would a plane turn off it's radar only to turn it back on like some time later.
If someone in aviation could explain that to me. Would love to know.
I believe it left like an hour after the shooting.
It may be something or may be nothing but the timing of it all just seemed odd.

This is the type of crime that gets you caught, even there. You'd have to go to a country who will willingly harbor you and protect you like Russia.
Now you will be paraded around like Snowden as a kidnapped puppet for the rest of your life, but the US would never likely get ahold of you.

China, Indonesia, a lot of Africa, Russia like you said. Disappearing is probably the only choice in a country usually not willing to extradite.

This shooter was not an amateur.
He wasn't a professional like in Special Operations. He could just be an avid hunter that grew up hunting with his dad. My teenage kids could make that shot with the right equipment and practice.

You have to be lucky on long shots with a 30 06 will often have bullet drop or wind effect even at 200 yards. A 308 is much better for that

Yep, he has it backwards.
