It would be harder for them to intentionally come close and miss those bases than it would be to hit them. Their capabilities are dramatically overblown, just like Iraq's was before those "wars".

It's also reasonable to say that their shite sucks and they missed due to the fact that they have inferior technology and personnel.

Well yeah

But if they were going for kills, this isn’t the type of attack you’d see. It looks like they went 0/11 with 4 being duds.

If they wanted to really go after us, they would hit closer targets.

It seems more likely Iran didnt want to elevate this to a full blown war because the conclusion is foregone. Thus an intentional miss seems likely given a result of no casualties.

It wasn't empty. Al Assad would have the most troops on it than any other base.

The war drum beaters need to stop. This is so unnecessary.

All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.

Which could have been more easily accomplished by using Hezbollah to launch rockets at American assets in Baghdad. It's harder to prove de-escalation when you actually use your own military to fire missiles into a sovereign nation.

Or, the more likely reason, their technology just sucks.

Canada has pulled all its troops out of Iraq and relocated to Kuwait.
Croatia has moved all of its troops out of Iraq and brought them home except for 7 who were moved to Kuwait today.
Germany has moved all of its troops out of Iraq today and relocated them to Jordan & Kuwait.
Finland has moved all of its troops out of Iraq and relocated them to Kuwait.
Romania has moved its 14 troops out of Iraq.
Slovenia is keeping its 6 soldiers in Ebil, Iraq for the time being.
Italy

I suspect this helped undo the coalition and will accomplish Trump's mission months ago of pulling out of Iraq now that the other nations have left.

I fail to see where Trump came to the conclusion that the missiles intentionally missed. And his lack of a response, should there not be one, doesn't make my other point inaccurate.

If you're trying to make a point while also trying to avoid war, it's best to do it by proxy. Because if one of your weapons accidentally hits something...it's over.

Downvote me all you want to, but it doesn't make me wrong.

You dont really get to save face if they do it by proxy. They also wanted to have their name associated with it because the us immediately claimed the assassination.

Also nobody claimed iran was doing stuff in the best way possible

They want to have their name associated with failure? Brilliant movie, Cotton. Let's see how it plays out for them.

Yep.

Total failure. If I were Iran, I would have had Hezbollah do their dirty work for them. By failing to cause any kind of damage after one of their most powerful figures was killed last week, they haven't even saved face.

They had Twitter riled up for a couple of hours and that was it.
