Yep. It wasn’t a real “attack”.

Ayatollah trying to save face within his country. Lob a couple of missiles over, claim massive US casualties, post fake videos and let the Iranin masses eat it up knowing that the US won’t respond to a fake attack.

Because people are dumb as a rock. It’s the same public that was convinced a draft was starting a week ago.

If he did indeed say that it doesn't sound like de-escalation to me. No sane world leader would sit back and do nothing after a missile strike from an enemy country when his opposite number is saying it isn't over.

Have you missed any of Iran's banter over the past few years? This is incredibly toned down to the fire and brimstone stuff that normally comes out of them.

You can never guarantee that - the person who you kill to stop retaliation could very well be the person whose memory inspires retaliation.

If you kill everyone then you don’t have to worry about this, Sally.

That means diddly squat now. Ballistic missiles from inside Iran have just hit bases which house U.S. military personnel.

This wasn't an attack by Hezbollah or any of the other proxy militias they have operating in Iraq. This was an attack by Iran. That changes the game considerably.
