You can access the Trump Foundation 990PF online and see exactly how much he gave. You can also see his financials that he filed while running. More info from those two documents that you can get from his tax return.

i’ll take your word for it, i’m no expert. my understanding is that donations from the foundation are different from personal donations direct from him, and that he has been known to portray donations as coming from his own wallet when in fact they are made from the foundation. debatable i’m certain, just mentioning it
but if what you said is true - more info from these 2 documents than his tax return - why not release the return?
