He did not. His order was rendered unconstitutional by the courts. No student had their loan forgiven.
He sold his supporters a bill of goods.
They found a loop hole and yes they are forgiving student loans. Basically gave the courts the middle finger.

You don’t understand economics. As more EVs come online they buy more and more energy from energy companies that own the infrastructure. The energy companies then use that money to pay for the infrastructure needed to provide service.
If energy companies are getting double the revenue then they can pay double for infrastructure. The servitudes are already there. They should use that extra money to invest in upgrading.
Here is the problem. The govt. controls what the energy companies can do to generate more electricity. They will not let them add additional coal or gas generation. They also will not give out permits for nuclear. This illegitimate regime does not care about economics.

Are you a registered voter? If so, is there a R or D next to your name?

This is stupid
The government is spending federal money for more nuclear infrastructure

Is he dumb enough to want to? Sure I'll buy that. But he can't do that unilaterally.
Which makes he and his fellow Democrats just as dangerous as if they could do it unilaterally.
Using your logic, planning someone's murder couldn't be prosecuted under Law if you didn't have the means to actually pull it off successfully.
You're trying too hard to make excuses for evil people.

Coal is as clean as possible, plus they take a lot of people. American workers. Talked to a power plant person who told me wind turbines will never pay for themselves. Solar has issues with freezing up, not rotating among other things. I’m all for either building more natural gas units or keep the coal burning.

No. I'm being sane. If you think that Biden is going to shut off 60 percent of the power in the country you simply can't be taken seriously.

I'm saying that he and his fellow Democrats even ENTERTAINING the idea is incredibly nefarious bordering on Apocalyptic.
Whether they can unilaterally pull it off is irrelevant.

New being the key word
No one is rushing to build coal plants right now anyway so this has essentially 0 impact.
China is building plants at a rate that makes a Taco Bell franchisee envy.. you do the math on what this means.
Spoiler: We are fricked

Then why would he say that they would? At the pace of electricity needed there will be rolling black outs regardless if Biden orders it or not. They simply are creating a situation where it is unavoidable. It will be the Repubs/Trumps fault when it happens also.

They allocated 6 billion to preserve existing nuclear infrastructure.

“U.S. nuclear power plants are essential to achieving President Biden’s climate goals and DOE is committed to keeping 100% clean electricity flowing and preventing premature closures,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. “The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law makes this all possible by allowing us to leverage our existing clean energy infrastructure, strengthen our energy security and protect U.S. jobs. DOE is facilitating the development of next generation technologies that can ultimately lower emissions and bolster the clean energy workforce.”

A gigantic word salad article basically saying we are going to keep the ones we have going while grifting off of the money allocated to "preserve nuclear infrastructure". They have no intentions of adding anything of value other than wind turbines and solar. That crap is worthless.

Well technically he could reduce it by 100% anytime he wants
Biden shutting off over half the grid? Nope. Can't do it.

If you took a few minutes to give a shite about the topic you might learn there is more afoot than just that. Try not being a whiney bitch and actually learning something.
quote:
Several strides were seen in the nuclear industry in 2022, after years of stagnation. The country’s biggest nuclear plant, Diablo Canyon in California, received a $1.1 billion conditional award of credits from the DoE to extend operations. There were originally plans for the plant to be decommissioned in 2024 and 2025, but this changed after introducing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Several advanced reactor firms saw progress toward deploying small modular reactors (SMRs) nationwide. And the DoE invested heavily in research and development, carrying out a study that determined that approximately 80 percent of U.S. coal power plant sites evaluated could be converted into nuclear power plants.
And there are big plans for 2023 and beyond. In a movement away from U.S. reliance on foreign uranium, the DoE is investing in developing domestic high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU), with production expected to start this year. Meanwhile, at New York’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Generating Station, we are seeing advances in combining clean energy projects with plans for the first production of clean hydrogen using low-temperature electrolysis this year. The hydrogen will be used to help cool the facility. This is one of four nuclear-powered hydrogen demonstration projects being supported by the DoE.
As well as publicly-funded projects, several private projects are gaining traction. Bill Gates’ TerraPower and X-energy are advancing on each of their construction permit applications, expected to submit them to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) within the next year. This could support the launch of new types of nuclear technologies such as TerraPower’s Natrium reactor – a sodium-cooled fast reactor, and X-energy’s Xe-100 high-temperature gas reactor SMR plant.
