Same here. I have $90k sitting in my bank account. Would move it but planning some remodeling within the next few months. Just don’t want to lose it overnight with all these announcements coming out. Sounds like I’m safe overall.

A lot of these banks were heavy into treasuries. Problem with that is that the rate hikes made those older bonds worth less, making them illiquid.
Yes, being hard in on tech startups and crypto were the big culprits but having a bunch of your investments in bonds which couldn’t be liquidated without a major loss helped seal their fate.
