The US President has been under fierce attack this week after his decision to deploy the National Guard to deal with protesters after some of them became violent.

But according to an exclusive poll carried out by the Democracy Institute in America, President Trump is still one point ahead of his Democrat rival, the former Vice President Joe Biden by 48 percent to 47 percent with 5 percent undecided.

Crucially though Mr Trump is six points ahead in the swing states of Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin by 50 percent to 44 percent.

Poll Methodology

The fieldwork for this survey of a randomly selected national telephone (landline and cell) sample of 1,500 likely voters was conducted by the Democracy Institute’s polling unit from June 3rd to June 5th 2020. The survey was conducted via interactive voice response, in which recorded questions were played for randomly-dialled respondents and answers were given via their telephone keypads. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percent at a 95 percent confidence interval. To ensure a representative sample, the results were weighted for key demographic and political variables including, but not limited to, party identification, gender, age, education, income, region, voting history, and cell phone-only households. The party identification turnout model is: Democrats = 38 percent; Republicans = 38 percent; and Independents = 24 percent.

It's amazing how much different this poll is from the other national polls.

It’s all good. I was pumped when I saw it.

He hasn’t been doing bad in swing states until after that poll.

In 2 CNBC polls in May he was killing it. CNN has a swing state poll he was killing it as well.

This month Covid and the riots/protests caught up and did some damage.

Don't believe the hype. Fox does not conduct it's own polls. I wonder if Paul Ryan negotiated the poll contract from his seat of the Board.

This is fun to watch .... Democrats lie with every breath until you take them into the Capital Hill dungeon and swear them under oath. Suddenly the truth emerges.

Biden lied about his knowledge in the Flynn investigation and it's origins...Drag the scum out of his basement, pants or not and put him under oath. If he can remember what planet he's on and today's date ...he might tell the truth.

I think we need to come to realization the power the media has.

They broadcasted every single trump rallies in 2016. He did 180 in the primaries and 135 in the general. The people saw and voted for him.

Now look at 2020 - excluding all the bullshitbhe went through since he took office in 2017.

The media is causing damage to his brand. They are relentless.

But the kicker they still showed his rally in Tulsa..

If he has more they can’t resist the dollars but trump gets to frame the narrative. Doing 1 once a week won’t do it. It needs to start organizing smaller rallies of 3-6 thousand and have the millions stream it. It’s his new way to win this election.

But yes people change their minds on a wim. Right now it’s not Biden is better it’s just an assault on everything going wrong and put on the feet of trump.

There is no way Biden is up. What is their message??!!! Democrats have no platform. These riots and virus are not making people vote Biden.
