I don’t know what to make of this. I feel like it both validates gthog and others who accuse me of being a moderate (as an insult) while also validates my counter argument that there are beliefs and ideal that I feel strongly about that are far from moderate.

Not really. Any time the government tells people what they can and cannot do, it's authoritarian by definition.
Not all authoritarianism is bad or unnecessary.

Political leanings can't really be measured on an X,Y scale; that's the primary fault. I don't think the creators are terribly bias given this statement

It all depends on which version of the quiz you take and which questions are included.
I've gotten wildly different results depending on the quiz.
The version you linked places Margaret Thatcher just below HITLER on the Authoritarian scale, so take it with a huge grain of salt.

Leaders are authoritarian by nature.
Compass=/= what your actions are. It's just a stupid scale, it's not perfect, just in the ballpark somewhat.
