No. There was a program like this in BR but Landry shut it down in October.

Didn't come at you til you came after me, cubs.
In fact, when quoting someone upthread that called you 4fatties, I edited the quote to reflect your username rather than an insult.
You're just hateful of females that have a different worldview from you.
You can call me a dropout all you want- I've raised my kids, not Consuela or daycares. And I don't contemplate letting felons watch my children.
We're just different is all.

as much as this board loves to deny that systemic issues exist, the obstacles are systemic and they are not addressed by message board lectures about personal responsibility.
Politics is downstream of Culture. Boards like this actually are a part of that culture war now. Like it or not. This is where people get their first taste of speaking their mind. Hints of spinal seeds germinating. Seeing what it's like to buck the herd, even if it's while standing amongst your own. You have a point about action vs words, but action always starts...
with words.

When I told his case manager about the arrest, she started popping off about Trump and “how can we expect people in the streets to follow rules when the president doesn’t have to?”
For a guy who doesn't have to follow the rules he sure does spend a lot of time complying with nutjob commie judge rulings thwarting everything he was put there to do.

Trump is going to be fine. Yet he’s the one with legions of strangers who devote significant portions of their days to defending him online.
We're done accepting the lefts bullshite simply because (points at TV)
So yes, you're catching hell from us now and you don't like that. We didn't like the last few decades. You'll get over it.
As for the bad day you had, I did that kind of work in college and after. In a MUCH worse situation than you are describing since I was working with teenage boys that were the nine most violent and crazy in state custody that nobody else would take. I had a little psychopath that was covered from the bottom of his feet to the top of his skull in cigarette burn scars from his crackhead mother's friends that she would pimp him out to since he was a toddler till the state took him.. He was fun. Did that for six years. Got out. It will kill your soul. Not nourish it. You stand too close to that abyss and it's sucking your soul right out of you after awhile and you don't get it back.
You probably know that by now whether you'll admit it or not. That's not on Trump. That's on you.

What insight would that provide?
Well - he is a convicted felon so, what was the original conviction
Second, why did he not get his GRD while serving his time?
Third - at what point does responsibility involve either not becoming a dad or becoming a dad - felon who gets arrested again - tell me what his child support payments are or what support is being provided to the kid - you know like a responsible person does
Finally - this program you run - do you get paid? Is it taxpayer funded

You’re right but they aren’t all like that.
I develop relationships with many offenders who aren’t working towards academic goals just from proximity. One young lady who had her baby taken away from her was so excited because she was going to get see him recently. When she finally got to see him (he’s 2 now), he didn’t recognize her but she was just so happy to see him. His dad is a POS and has tried to run over her with his car before. She has a stay away order but we haven’t seen her since last week and I’m scared he hurt her. And my heart breaks for the baby. It’s hard when you see these are real people and not just characters or statistics. The world is not fair. It is often very cruel.
But I’m supposed to be upset that people in Massachusetts don’t need a state ID to vote instead.

Most people are intellectually and emotionally well rounded enough to hold more than one concern at a time.

It really is a shame what democrats did to the black community with the great society.

I’ve tried to keep an open mind while reading this thread (and I’ve read the entire thing), but I’m having a difficult time understanding your argument.
Are you suggesting that your student’s crime should be overlooked? You’ve admitted several times that he did in fact engage in criminal activity on multiple occasions. Yet rather than taking the stance of, “He’s now got to learn a very tough lesson … again … due to his own actions and poor choices,” you seem to be placing blame on everyone but him.
It’s one of the biggest losing causes for the democrats — the perpetual need to defend the lawbreakers and make excuses for them. Most hardworking, law-abiding citizens who are trying to make an honest living and support their families are tired of it.
While I applaud your efforts at trying to make a difference in your community, I think your efforts are misplaced.

That explains why we only hear your concerns that align with the prevailing board narratives. Thank goodness you’re so intellectually and emotionally well-rounded. No one would ever confuse you for a pick-me partisan hack.
