Do I expect a board full of people who would voluntarily sign affidavits stating that every election a Republican loses was sToLeN to believe anything grounded in reality is a better question.
This is why you get shite on this board

That's fine, but that's a different claim. I also believe in the protective theory of incarceration.
I don’t believe in incarceration as a deterrent. I am highly skeptical of incarceration as rehabilitation. What I believe works is incarceration as protection. Because if someone is incarcerated, they can’t break into my house, they can’t piss on the city buss, and they can’t chase my neighbor down the street while waving a machete.

this last point is impossible as long as we stay committed to universal compulsory mass education. In public schools, anyway.
Not true. We used to have alternative schools and corporal punishment. If a kid was repeatedly disruptive, they were REMOVED from classes with the non-disruptive kids. If the prison as protection theory works, then the same concept applies to schools.
Now, what you do with the removed students at the alternative schools is up for debate. In my experience, literacy is the most important skill the disruptive students seem to lack in my experience.

quote:Really? How many crimes do dead people commit each year?
Except that it's not.
quote:And you know-it-all internet guys want a system that is touchy feely, right? got all the answers, but none of the experience.
You macho internet guys want a system in which punishment is harsh, immediate, and public, right?
quote:Calling Bravo Sierra on this. Next thing you know, you'll tell me that guns cause the most children deaths in America (because you include all the gangbangers under 20)...
And the murder rate was six times what it is now. Yeah. Six times.
quote:And no matter how much you internet know-it-all say that punishment doesn't work, you are still full of shite. And no amount of claiming you ain't will change it.
No matter how internet-tough you guys think you are for insisting on this, it's simply not true, and it never has been.

Look at this very slow-y deflection

We talk about local issues, of which there are many. Mostly we talk about real life. We have kids. We don't sit around and say, "so... have you heard the US is killing people in Iran? What do you think about that?" I just texted him that I paid for summer camp. I guess you're texting your spouse about Bill Cassidy? To each his own.

I don't think you're the/a problem, but I do think people find what they're looking for.

Can you expound more on your boy getting arrested for a misdemeanor traffic violation but plead guilty to a felony?
The best part about that comment was your little zinger about people watching law and order.
I was kind of giving you the benefit of doubt in that you are just trolling, but it appears you are really might be special needs

She won’t answer the question.
The guy got stopped for a traffic violation and is back in jail on felony charges. Yet somehow the system is against them.

This thread having 911 replies to one of the worst posters on the board is concerning to me

I thought you said you don’t vote for president?
Posted on 3/24/26 at 11:53 am to NIH
If so, good. Women shouldn’t vote. The 19th amendment was a terrible idea. Women didn’t want it at the time, they had a women’s referendum on it an 96% voted no so guess what they did? Held a vote on it using the laws in place where only men could vote and passed

We do not avoid big talks about major political issues, but that because she is sensible. If she were a bat shite crazy liberal, I would avoid it at all costs, which might explain your situation.

No clue why you would think that.

He plead DOWN to a felony, which means he did some very bad things she doesn’t want us to know about.
