I just wish elections for Congressmen and President were standardized and ever had to follow the same rules.

I'm curious if it would be within the rights of Federal government to simply establish a reporting deadline? Say, 24 hours after the close of polls on election day.
I would think this might force the hands of all of these mail in ballots without "federalizing" the process.
In other words, States, you do you but numbers must be final as of tomorrow. No waiting around trying to figure out how many more ballots in certain counties need to be "found".

Military members have the same deadline to vote as the rest of us which means if cast their ballot and put in the mail by Election Day you have to give time for it to count and if you give that privilege to military members you have to extend it to citizens overseas That's the target that the D they certainly tried tried to hit last time and just aren't enough but they tried and it helped in 20

not to the extent some trumpards were calling for after the election but 2020 was an outler even in Texas you had 24hr drive-through voting and the dems took advantage
