New York Post
quote:
School, while not without its benefits, carries the risk of over-exposure to intellectuals. And intellectuals, when it comes to understanding economic realities, are Ding Dongs.
quote:
Intellectuals like Marxism because Marx makes economics simple — the rich get their money from the poor. (How the rich manage this, since the poor by definition don’t have any money, is beyond me. But never mind.)
Real economics are more complicated than anything that intellectuals can make sense of.
quote:
The Soviet Union and Maoist China are two more reasons that millennials love socialism. This is not because young people learned left-wing lessons from the Soviets and the Red Guards. It’s because they didn’t.
Kids don’t get it that communists are bad people. It was too long ago. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989. Deng Xiaoping began market reforms in China in 1978.

I have no idea why I thought he was dead but I did. Lol. Glad to see he’s still around.

Socialism requires people to do the right thing. They won't.
Capitalism requires people to think about who is doing the right thing. They will.

2020 will be remembered as the year all the lazy fricks tried a revolution.

Because most intellectuals haven’t read Marx or, if they have, didn’t understand it—something Marx and Engels knew about his work.

I read “Eat the Rich” a long time ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It’s not often that one can laugh out loud reading a book about economics.

Completely false.
Socialism at its basic tenets is completely evil.
Forced theft using the governments gun.
Capitalism is altruistic.
If you wish to trade with me you have to offer me something value for me to trade something of value to you.

He wrote an article in Rolling Stone in the mid 90’s calling the Hungry Duck in Moscow the wildest bar in the world. I was in Moscow in 1998 and found the Hungry Duck, not to be disappointed with his assessment. Place was insane!

Our public school history classes barely ever made it to wwii let alone to the cold war.
