To everyone talking about clip size and cycling time, is it not possible that the guy had a belted machine gun with more than 100 rds? *not a gun expert

Well that wasn't found, so appears not possible.

when the video comes out, we'll see how the gun bounced around...i think it's more likely a cop moved it

Maybe the pictures don't really show everything but you would think hundreds of casings would be everywhere not just a few

Two of the rifles had reportedly been legally modified with an attachable crank used to simulate automatic fire, which depresses the trigger faster than a finger and can be bought online for as little as $40.
I knew I heard a gat crank.

I keep looking at the pics posted in the OP but what I'm seeing just doesn't make any sense. First, there are two chairs pulled together in what I assume was a makeshift way of stacking a lot of guns close together for ease of retrieval and use, but look at the rest of the furniture. None of it has been moved out of the way. Look at the third pic. There are two guns mounted on tripods and a shite load of casings, but a blue arm chair and a side table are sitting right there in front of it. Basically he was having to maneuver and reload between that big purple pole and the chair. Why not just move the chair out of the way? Another thing that bugs me is the stack of magazines. They are tucked out of the way between the couch and the purple pole. Wouldn't it make more sense to stack them out in the open by the two chairs holding the guns? Then there is the sheer number and variety of guns. Everything we see is legal to own and purchase. I believe I even saw a post on here where it was stated that he passed 30 or 40 background checks to purchase the fire arms.
So what motivates a wealthy middle aged guy with no criminal history to do something like this? I think it's pretty far fetched to think he joined ISIS or was in someway radicalized. According to his brother, he seemed to indicate he didn't have much interest in guns either or he was not what you would call a "gun" guy. Well what if he was extremely pro gun control? Can you think of a better way to advance an agenda than by going out and legally purchasing these weapons and their mods and then using them against a group of people who are typically pro gun rights? I personally don't think he brought 10 suitcases full of guns because he believed he would need them, but did so because he wanted to make the statement that he was legally able to acquire everything in that room.

As an experiment let me ask you a question. If the report comes out and it’s still the same, guy just went crazy and bought a bunch of guns and murdered people, would you believe it or double down on another theory because you’re not allowed to believe the mainstream report?

I think it's quite obvious the guy was crazy. The question everyone wants answered is what motivated him. There is really nothing rational to what he did

Standard crazy person. Would there being no motivation other than enlarged adrenaline gland, small frontal lobe and chemical imbalance be enough for people to accept?

Are you asking if people would just accept that this guy had a chemical imbalance and that is what caused him to act? No, people would not accept that. There are too many variables in this event for people to accept that as an explanation. What would be the odds of a guy suffering a psychotic break, checking into a high rise hotel, spending days stocking it with weapons and then having a festival with 20 thousand people take place across the street, under his window? This wasn't a random act of violence. Something motivated him, the question is what was it.

No, we've all got lots of standard crazies living amongst us. But we've never had this. And every other event that compares was driven by more than just standard crazy.
So no, I don't think a chemical imbalance is gonna be enough here.

Fair enough. I’m sure more will come out. I’m interested in that note, and the wife.

Or he was really hungry.
ETA: Sammy, bagel, soup, coupla pepsis and a water? I could easily polish that off in a single gnosh.
