Did the mailer include any lies, though?

Look at this bitch who signed up to knight for Steve Carter and bash Matt Watson on Tigerdroppings

Going by Carter’s own words hopefully you’re staying safe and wearing a mask while posting.

I’m so troubled about the mayor’s race. I have no idea who I will vote for.

I know It won’t be Piazza or Broome.

Broome is even worse than the guy who was mayor when BR had 2 serial killers. She is unbelievably bad. That shitshow she had with hiring an admin head. The near ruination of our police dept. And the whole St. George debacle. She can’t even keep the drainage ditches cleared. She’s absolutely destroyed every aspect of city government and told our tax base to frick off. I have nothing but contempt for that woman. She is incredibly bad at her job.

Piazza is a disorganized business person by rep. I’ll just put it that way. He completely lacks the maturity to run BR.

I vacillate btwn Carter, Watson and even Guirard. I will vote for one of those 3 and whoever isn’t Broome in the runoff. She’s absolutely horrendous. And unfortunately bc the Louisiana Republican Party is run by a bunch of morons who completely suck at finding candidates, she will probably be re-elected and BR will turn into Jackson.

Only reason he ever runs for anything. And he’s still a struggling hack lawyer.

Broome: incumbent who has made worse everything she touches
Carter: experienced, moderate, teaming up with Wicker, pro mask mandates
Guirard: funny, trial lawyer, moderate, school choice advocate, wants to combine BRPD and EBRPSO into Guardian Rouge which will have martial arts training
Marcelle: radical BLM racist marxist who wants to defund police
Piazza: young, inexperienced, good talker, unproven, comes from service industry
Watson: experienced at the local level, proven conservative, hard worker, shady finances, lots of unproven rumors about his personal life

I’m fine with his agenda. And at least it’s an agenda. And the presence of an actual agenda is what is making me consider him. FWIW I’ve always thought his problems with his license were a gross overreaction, and not justified. I don’t really understand what “moderate” means and why that’s appealing. I’d rather any candidate have an actual opinion. Moderates don’t tend to have one.

Brilliant debate. Anyway, so where were the lies in the mailer?

What I GAF about is grifters using this place to push agendas without being upfront about it

I didn’t say it was unappealing. I just wanted to make sure people didn’t associate him with being a progressive like Marcelle.

Moderates often do have agendas, those agendas just aren’t very conservative nor are they crazy liberal. They’re usually in the middle, i.e. moderate. I find moderates tend to support the status quo with more taxes.

A regular Daniel Webster. Thanks for admitting the mailer has no lies in it, like how Matt has not always been a Democrat and not from Baton Rouge.

I think Matt is a great guy and has been a great councilman. I just think his actions cause some concern and that he is not the best man for the job.

Piazza BR mayor candidate by TigerMomma4
I keep seeing Piazza ads almost exclusively on TV (streaming channels) but I got a mudslinging postcard in the mail today against Watson. Definitely a backfire as now he is bumped to the top of my list. Between Watson and Carter for me.

Didn’t that mailer come from Carter’s PAC?

I’ve been close friends with Jordan for decades. He’s not what anyone here would describe as a conservative, but he isn’t untrustworthy. A hardline conservative will never be elected Mayor in da parish again.

Baton Rouge could do a lot worse.

Piazza is a reed in the wind. You can't trust that guy whatsoever.

Watching Watson it appears he’s a hands on guy, a guy who wants to serve and a grassroots type.

But I’d he a good leader? Administrator? Organizer? Planner?
I don’t think so. Hus campaign went nowhere. He didn’t go out and sell himself and raise money to run.

If I were mayor I’d put him in Raiford’s place and let him clean up the parish.

The same reason our POTUS does. Or do you think TRUMP is a hardline conservative?
