Ask him if he thinks we can do a clinical trial in Louisiana and give all people over the age of 40 Hydrocloroquine as a prophylactic and see if our spread rate falls compared to control group in NY or Italy (since we’re on target for that direction anyway)

Over all this was a good town Hall meeting, lots of good questions. Did not realize the senator was a doc by trade.
Did go in to say that the president would not be likely to give an order for all States to go to a stay-at-home stance. Primarily because it is much easier for the States to control this type of directive and that he agreed with the president that this was the best course of action.

He also went in to explaining that if folks were to stay-at-home for 2 weeks the viruses life cycle is approximately that long and would greatly reduce the spread to others.

As many cases that have been identified in not only the state of Louisiana but nationwide there are many many more unconfirmed cases and there are many potential carriers walking around that have no idea they even have the virus.

Others have said if everyone did a true 2 week quarantine as in you don’t leave home no stores open etc the virus would pretty much be gone.

I love my country and my home state of Louisiana. I’ll do what’s necessary to keep all my peeps safe. There’s no work I can’t do from my house (thank God). My grandparents lived thru worse for sure.
We can’t do this forever but we can do this thru April.
I just Wish we could take Hydrocloroquine as a be safe. Plus prayers don’t hurt.
