I met Phil at a Wildlife and Fisheries event in Monroe while I was in college. I bought a duck call from him and he told me he'd take me duck hunting if I went to church with him. I never did. I regret that. I still have that duck call today.

Rest in peace. The Michael Jordan of duck hunting. Spent tons of money on duck calls for none of them to sound as good as his $30 basic one. A pioneer of an industry. He leaves behind a great legacy.

Bradshaw talked a little about Phil while at La. Tech. Said Phil was always bringing in some game or fish that he just killed or caught to the locker room. Told the story about going fishing with Phil once, and only once, and being"Bradshaw'ed" so he could go with Phil. Very funny stories made even funnier with Bradshaw telling them.
