Did that work for her?
Well, she got the American dream, to retire early and wealthy. Except DJT47 may Gitmo her.

Would you please take the time to use “lose” instead of “loose” please. You loose a lot of points in a debate with others. You need to losen up a bit and realize every politician is open for criticism and ridicule.
Duckworth loosing her legs doesn’t shield her. They did have a coordinated attack today like they normally do, It’s not new.
I’m going to go ahead and losen my tie and catch up on this Hegseth hearing. Stay lose my friend.
Thanks for the advice. I'm not trying to debate anyone. I agree with almost everything posted here about the Hegseth hearing. I am not defending Duckworth generally.
Just from my experience, someone who has the constitution to fly helicopters in combat is not someone who is likely to "lose control." I didn't think that would be such a controversial statement.
It has been amusing to see my observation get twisted into some position in favor of Duckworth's performance today.
Cheers. I hope you enjoyed the hearing. I thought Senator Mullin's comments were the highlight.

That shrill and bizarre behavior was probably displayed while she attempted to fly that helicopter....with the same results as her performance today a failure.
It could have been that, but probably a bigger problem was the RPG that took her legs and knocked her unconscious. Her co-pilot landed their Blackhawk.
What is wrong with some of y'all? Despite her horrible politics, Duckworth served our country honorably in the military.

Remember Lisa Nowak? She was the astronaut that wore diapers on a 900-mile road trip to go after her ex's new girl. She didn't want to have to make pit stops. Look at her background and she still lost control.
quote:
Born in Washington, D.C., Nowak graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1985. She was assigned to VAQ-34 at Naval Air Station Point Mugu, California, where she flew the EA-7L Corsair and ERA-3B Skywarrior. She earned a Master of Science degree in aeronautical engineering and a degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. In 1993 she was selected to attend the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. After graduation, she remained at Patuxent River, flying in the F/A-18 Hornet and EA-6B Prowler. During her Navy career she logged over 1,500 hours in more than 30 aircraft and was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal.
People who serve deserve our thanks, but it doesn't excuse all future behavior.
You led with this

The attacks on Lt. Col. Duckworth are unwarranted. She is a double amputee from combat injuries suffered while she was co-piloting a helicopter in Iraq.
For someone claiming to be conservative you went right for the classic liberal tactic to lead off. This has absolutely nothing to do with her behavior today and her treatment of Mr. Hegseth. She deserves to be derided for her "service" in the Senate today.

She was an absolute bitch today.

I wasn't defending Duckworth, generally. It was just a statement about the likelihood that she would lose control given her training.
Maybe you're right, though. Maybe she's a Lisa Nowak.
