Periodic reminder: It's not a mirage, research shows journos are in fact below average IQ

It's not the camera, it's real. Journos are dumber than average.
Average IQ by occupation.
Journalists rank somewhere below drywall installers and above piano tuner. Farmers and police officers score significantly better. You could technically say that wherever journalists go to report something, they are actually the dumbest person in the room.

Journalists' brains show a lower-than-average level of executive functioning, according to a new study, which means they have a below-average ability to regulate their emotions, suppress biases, solve complex problems, switch between tasks, and show creative and flexible thinking.

Don't have to be a harvard grad to read democrat talking points off a teleprompter.

"the following table estimates average IQ scores by occupation solely on the basis of the Career Cast mid-level income figures. "

They read a TelePrompTer and have to bring in experts to tell people what it all means. Look at what happens when Don Lemon or Fredo try to explain the events of the day. They can barely put a sentence together.

From the article
Occupation IQ
1. Surgeon 234.1
2. Physician 161.1
3. Corporate executive 148.0
4. Psychiatrist 147.7
5. Dentist 140.0
Yeah, the methodology and results are absurd

I’m solidly in the top 15

I mean its ridiculous. For example estimating IQ based on "Career Cast mid-level income figures", NFL/MLB/NBA athletes would project in near 300 range. And I'd think we'd all agree that's probably a little generous.

You linked us to a table roughly converting income to IQ. I suspect your IQ was too low to figure that out though

research shows
Research shows that conservatives tend to be kinda stupid.
"For those who lack a cognitive ability to grasp the complexities of our world, strict-right wing ideologies may be more appealing."
"Hodson and Busseri (2012) found in a correlational study that lower intelligence in childhood is predictive of greater racism in adulthood.... They also found poor abstract reasoning skills were related to homophobic attitudes, mediated through authoritarianism and low levels of intergroup contact."

And since leftists lack the cognitive ability to grasp even simple arguments they rely on the generic rebuttal: 'Well, you're a racist!'

1. That can't even be called research.
2. You shouldn't need research to know that little intelligence is required to be a journalist. Go to any college that offers it as a major and spend 10 minutes observing the crowd.
None of that is to say that there are no intelligent journalists; you can be extremely intelligent and choose any field you want, especially if you're not driven by money. It just means the bar for entry into that particular field isn't very high.

One thing I've noticed about ALL print journalists. They cannot speak. I listen to America's First News with Gordon Deal every morning on radio.
They interview journalists about their latest articles from WSJ, NYT, USA, Wapo and some major online newspapers.
All of them use 'ya know, well uh,' at least twice per sentence. That means about 50 in two minutes. Some get up to 8 or 9 'ya knows' per sentence.
In 3 years I have never heard one print journalist I would describe as moderately articulate.

Spot on Flats- I'm a UGA grad. UGA has a nationally recognized journalism school. It was full of purple haired misfits. I'm sure they all have jobs shaping public opinion today....
