People magazine lead story today: Jessica Chastain says Harvey Weinstein made fun of me

Hollywood can rot.
But silly stories like this one shouldn’t be used to downplay legit claims of sexual misconduct.
I’ll assume(?) that most people are intelligent enough not to conflate the two.

Am environment where you simultaneously have an undefined yet career ending crime is a perfect tool for the left
With the media totally in the bag for them, they can BOTH go into full outrage mode to ruin those they wish while going into who cares mode for people they prefer.

well TBH the rape and sexual assaults werent good but this is bad, making fun of someone should be grounds for the death penalty

Part of what's funny about this story is that the magazine is portraying mocking style choice as a newsworthy bad thing.
