The first one just hit the may threshold right?
They didn't even get half the senators to vote for conviction.
This thing is dead in the water.

I've counted 15 nay votes so far, I believe.
So we aren't even close.
EDIT: 16 nays!
They’re voting on 16 articles.
That was only the first one.
A YAY vote on any single article means he’s impeached.
But it’s a good sign ….

Do you think 7 people are going to vote on any article over the first one?
I just don't see them "picking" an article and going with that one to vote Yay on... but I haven't been following as closely as some of you so I could be totally wrong.

Highly doubtful.

But they just need 1 of the 16. This is a positive that Dems didn't go fully on the first, but maybe just to hide their partisanship
So if I'm doing it right, Paxton just needs 10 nays, so once the count hits that # that article is good to for him, even though she keeps counting.

Same vote numbers on article 2.
I think this is how it's going to go.

Hope so. So which of the articles was the most concerning though? We're either of these first 2 really concerning?

They only need 10 nays?

LINK ]“Conservative” Kelly Hancock’s (Tarrant County) constituents are going to come unglued over his YAY votes.
They’ve been slamming his social media (to vote NAY) for weeks.
Baylor Republicans have been very disappointing throughout this process.
But I’m glad they’re showing their collective arse.
Good riddance, boys.

That's my understanding. I'm counting the nays out and once 10 is hit I believe it's good on that one for Paxton.

Same 16-14. That article sounded pretty possible to get 1 more yay. Really wonder which is the most concerning that could be the one that "gets him"

That’s what I’m wondering as well. Are there any that are clearly stronger than others?
