Correct. Consensus--or the belief that future generations would be capable of reasoning with each other to achieve consensus--is the foundation of our entire system of government.

No one is best served by tiny majorities, which oscillate every two, four or six years at most, shoving policy down everyone's throats. There is a reason we rejected a parliamentary system.

Trump has already scraped the bottom of the barrel to find his current cabinet members, where is he going to look next? Prisons? perhaps that explains all the questionable pardons.
