What makes you think immigrants are being arrested?

US citizens aren't here on visas that can be revoked

I’ll give it to you on that. I’m concerned. It’s a little more complicated with visa holders but still …

No one is being arrested or having visas revoked for their speech. Both of those things are happening because they are being charged with trespassing.

Why are you people so full of shite?

INA § 237 (8 U.S.C. § 1227) – Deportability

This section lists grounds under which a non-citizen can be deported, including:

Crimes involving moral turpitude (CIMT) committed within 5 years of admission, if the sentence could be a year or more (even if not imposed).

quote:

Visa Revocation – 22 C.F.R. § 41.122 and State Dept. Policies
Even without a conviction:

The U.S. Department of State can revoke a visa if it receives information (e.g., from law enforcement) that the holder may be ineligible under INA §§ 212 or 237.

This is often done administratively and without a hearing.

Why are you assuming these students are on visas?

Do you not remember parts of this campus being violently taken over by “protesters”? They took over buildings, assaulted Jewish students and staff members, and refused to let those people return to an area that they had every right to be in.

Why are you assuming these people aren’t being arrested because they were participating in that?

The right has definitely done a 180 on free speech this year.

Were they giving speeches while illegally occupying a building?

This isn’t going to end until we have another Kent State.
Let me remind you;

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is not peaceable. It is terroristic. Reasonable measures to restore the peace can and should be implemented.

And if you’re an Americsn protesting in America, as these students appear to be?

What indication is there of that?

Probably both...some can go to jail...some can get deported...all good.

The right has been against protestors taking over universities -- has even specifically been against protestors taking over Columbia University--since 1968 you dipshit.

The absence of any evidence or even credible claims that they aren’t?

Do you assume every college student is here on a visa?

I want to know what happens to them AFTER the arrest. Unless they are booked, charged, tried, convicted, and sentenced to serious time, they'll be right back at it.
