The only thing holding this country together is the fact that normal folks have to much to lose. Take that away and the shite gets real serious real fast. In the end maybe this is what we need.

You really think a company with 2.3 Billion in cash and cash equivalents on their balance sheet as of 6/30 investing $51MM in gold is signaling anything?
A little over 2% of their cash and cash equivalents into anything doesn't seem like much of a hedge to me.
Thank for posting though because I would have never looked at their balance sheet which is incredible. $3 billion in assets and $2.6 in current assets offset by only $1B in liabilities. Headed over to my trading account to drop some coinage on them, that's strong.

Alex Karp is a very interesting person and close associate of Peter Thiel. He actually moved PLTR out of Silicon Valley because he hated to toxic culture.
I'd say he is a person who access to some of the highest levels intelligence, such as it is.
PLTR was founded in the aftermath of 9-11 and went public last year in order to commercialize their data systems.

Very cool company. I’ve been in their Georgetown office a few times.
