Paglia on why feminists hate men

I'm reading some old excerpts from her previous columns and she hits upon an issue that I've never considered.
Let's call it 'support chat.' The short story:
In the old days women staying home kept each other company. Mom, grandma, sisters, daughters, female neighbors chatted while cooking, hanging the laundry on the line, shopping at the corner store, etc.
This chat was a source of emotional support that women need. They didn't care that husband didn't chat. They got it all day from other females.
Then, feminism took them out the home and into the workplace...with men. Men don't chat. Men don't need emotional support from other people. Hell, I get my emotional support from my Labrador retriever.
Women resent this and they feel rejected by men and learn to dislike them. One difference... gay men DO provide emotional chat. So feminists get along well with gay men in the workplace.
What can be done? Paglia says 'Nothing... men and women are different. They always will be. Feminists have to come to grips with it.'

I don't mind chatting with certain women.

Camille Paglia is a goddamned national treasure.

This is an eternal axiom.
But yes - the 'women chat" angle is one I had never thought of nor heard anyone else present it .
eta - just noticed your new sig quote -
quote:
Socialism: You can vote yourself into it, but you have to shoot yourself out of it.

Feminists hate men because men don’t find them attractive. The end.

I watched a video yesterday of Ms. Paglia has she cited historical evidence of transgender mania being a sign of cultural collapse.
She usually provides interesting insight on issues.

Agree.
I can’t agree with the men don’t chat part though, or maybe I’m an exception but they do come to chat with me and these aren’t gay guys. However, I work with mostly all men (only one other woman and she’s in another area of the place) so maybe that somehow plays into it. And men also gossip, maybe y’all are better at it in some way as far as it not getting back to the person who’s being gossiped about but no doubt you do gossip.

Erin: I swear to goodness she’s the only smart socialist I can name. Woman is brilliant.

Anyone married to a female knows that the "chatting" is completely different on almost every level.

No shite...
Water is wet... They're finally figuring this shite out...?

tl/dr version - women talk too much, it's best that they talk with each other

The problem is that either they aren't, or they have and are ignoring the truth.
As Paglia points out routinely, that's why modern feminism is so destructive to society.

The difference is that male chat has nothing to do with positive feedback for emotional support. IE, if I ask you 'how about that LSU game last night' your response is not going to lift my self esteem.
OTOH, if a woman tells a female co-worker "I don't know what to do with my hair" she gets "Oooh, I wish I had hair like yours. All you need to do is add a little hair enhancer. It's terrific."

I still don’t fully agree with you- for one because that is such horrible script writing there
Also, I think you view something as emotional support whereas I wouldn’t call it that- I’d just most associate it with general banter but I am woman and you are man so as Ms Paglia said we are different.

"Feminists hate Men"...because they resent the heretofore superior power of Men. Men are physically stronger, smarter re abstract-based Sciences (generalization) and apt to act in a calculated fashion, while Women are more Feeling-based in their action.
Feminists act on their Feeling...Ego...power. Or as my Wife says..."it's all about control".
The problem for Feminists is that their 'Control/Manipulate' (biological) inclination may not serve them well in particular societal collapse scenarios; scenarios of the which their societally corrosive Ideology promotes. Such being because the 'kind' of man that they would approve of...would be ill-qualified/able to defend their (weaker) Woman when the agreed-upon societal 'rules' are gone. In fact such a (feeling-based) man might be more inclined to cry on their shoulder, than to step up with muscle and heat.
Darwin's survival of the fit(est) will rule this realm; at least or until true (Truth) wisdom and Knowledge replace it. And that will likely be in the Good Lord's "kingdom not of this World".
I know...*sexist*.

Paglia talks about that. Back in the day women exerted power over their sons. They knew they created the child and recognized the total dependency he had on mom. As the son grew she saw his emotional weaknesses and was careful to nurture him into a respectable man.
Modern feminists don't identify with motherhood so they don't feel that power over men.

Yep, Mother Nature at work, Z. A Mother would be inclined to create a feeling-based (love) bond with their Son, because such would be survival/prosperity efficient as She aged, and became relatively un-empowered. Heck, in some societies they don't want girls, only boys (China, I think, maybe India).
I'd hate to be a Feminist if society went dysfunctional, as it does pretty often; I suspect they've become incapable of loving the 'macho' version of Man due to a loss of respect for such. Being a woman in Venezuela...can't be good. Or El Salvador more so; watched a Doc this morn on ES...Trump's sending MS-13 back ("they are not sending their best"), and that place is hell, with the good folk getting out, and the gangstas remaining.
