It's pretty funny that this is the actual 1st commandment, but ever since it's been factually proven that the Jews were never in Egypt in the first place, much less delivered out of slavery from there, the direct spoken word of God is suddenly up for editing, and everyone just prints up that last line.

It's never been "factually proven" that God gave Moses the 10 commandments on Mt. Sinai, either. That doesn't mean it didn't happen.

The reason people leave out the first part of the commandment is because it isn't the commandment, it's pretext for the commandment. It's not left out because people don't like it any more.

I'm not sure if you're being serious here but I hope not. The crusades had many causes and variables that influenced the actions there, including Muslim invasions of Christian lands, but whatever you want to believe about them, there is no justification for needless slaughter of others in the name of Christ. Jesus didn't teach anyone to kill others because you disagree with them or wanted something they had. It's not "Christian" to kill people out of jealousy, hatred, or any other reason. Killing out of self-defense is permitted to preserve the lives of the innocent.

Islam was born from violence. Muhammad was a warlord to killed others and had others killed for his faith. To equate Islam and Christianity in this regard is absurd.

Here's the difference: you can kill someone in the name of Islam and be justified by that faith. You cannot kill someone in the name of Christianity and be justified by that faith.
