They aren't. They just ignore it.

Don't you know that Trump is LITERALLY a Nazi?!!! That he is LITERALLY killing children and having Demigenderqueers thrown off of Trump Tower. That he's LITERALLY bringing us towards nuclear war...LITERALLY!!!!!

OMG!!! I LITERALLY can't take it anymore! I'm just going to curl in a ball today and cry!!! My wife said it was ok

Because US taxation of previously untaxed foreign earnings is part of the reform bill. Of course they are bringing it back—under the new tax law there is deemed repatriation on those earnings.

Not a uniquely Republican idea either. But they got it done where others have not so credit where credit is due.

Except for the part that it took a tax CUT to get it done, an idea that the democratic dumbasses just cant wrap their brain around.

Ending all the illegal immigration isnt a uniquely Republican idea either....but were the ones that will get it done.

See how that works

It took a tax cut to require deemed repatriation of foreign earnings? What it actually took was a number of our global competitors (many of which are derided here) going to a territorial/participation exemption regime.

But like I said, credit where credit is due.

don't worry. 90proof will remind everyone of his predictions for moribund gdp once the tax breaks "wear off". remember, as long as trump is doing well, he's merely playing with obama's economy

Nope, it came back because we gave the a break on the taxes on the money and it made it way way way more attractive then being overseas.

We gave a break by taxing earnings that were previously not subject to tax indefinitely? That makes no sense.

We made the US tax landscape more attractive. No doubt. But are you really going to argue that we didn’t go to participation exemption because of what other players on the globe are doing? Can you even follow that sentence?

Lol. Junior, you know nothing about international taxation. Sit the frick down.

The BEA notes the main driver of the repatriation surge is that companies are no longer taxed on foreign earnings when returning the funds to the U.S. “We fixed that really, really stupid thing” said Hassett. By comparison just $38 billion was repatriated during the same period a year ago.

Oh by the way, deemed repatriation is mandatory to transition from worldwide to participation exemption. But let’s compare to last year when it wasn’t mandated. Lol. What a crock of shite article.
