The Euro is dropping against the Dollar “like crazy,” giving them a big export and manufacturing advantage...and the Fed does NOTHING! Our Dollar is now the strongest in history. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Except to those (manufacturers) that make product for sale outside the U.S.

....We don’t have a Tariff problem (we are reigning in bad and/or unfair players), we have a Fed problem. They don’t have a clue!

If the Fed would cut, we would have one of the biggest Stock Market increases in a long time. Badly run and weak companies are smartly blaming these small Tariffs instead of themselves for bad management...and who can really blame them for doing that? Excuses!

There isn’t anyone understanding the first thing about monetary policy that would make this statement, but those who don’t know shite will blindly repeat it ad nauseam

There's a reason the euro is dropping and trump doesn't seem to understand this.

The man only thinks in terms of unilateral deals and it's sad that he does.

Makes sense, since men who are insecure around women constantly press for dates and try to seal the deals. Oh wait, that's confidence, the exact opposite.

You almost confused us with your gas lighting. Keep up the good work!

It's never yours either. Did you enjoy that retraction the other day after you had piled on?

Exactly. The Fed Funds rate has been this low only twice in the last half century. Once was the prolonged low rates that we are still experiencing since the Great Recession and the other was in the immediate aftermath of the dot com boom. Aside from those two major financial market shocks, the effective federal funds rate has been above 2.5% since 1962. Yes firms would always prefer lower rates, but no, 2.5% will not prevent healthy firms from remaining competitive. That’s asinine.

Trump (along with everyone disagreeing with him on this) fully understands that the stock market would receive a bump if we lowered rates. But he doesn’t care that this would significantly lower our ability to combat the next recession when it inevitably hits. And it will eventually hit. It’s the definition of short sighted, irresponsible monetary policy.

hes getting ahead of the stock market pop that will occur sept 17th. Its always funny how the pundits like to bash him for "starting a conversation" when he drills straight into the heart of the matter. Its almost as if folks are afraid of A TRUTHFUL CONVERSATION

so create a recession so that the fed can show it has the ability to help resolve the recession

sorry, I just cant agree with this type of logic

Do you think someone pointed out to him how foolish he looked whining about currency manipulation while trying to do the same thing??????

aligning rates at a closer interval as the world-wide trading partners, while maintaining a premium as to help american exporters, is now currency manipulation? wrong as usual

We aren’t on the edge of a recession. That’s the whole point; we don’t need to lower rates while the economy is still strong.

If our exports become too expensive due to exchange rates that can help induce a recession.
