He's such a petty little bitch sometimes. Please tell me how Amazon is breaking current tax law? Are they supposed to voluntarily pay a higher rate than required?

They pay a lower rate with the Postal System because they are the Postal Service's largest customer. Has he heard of volume discounts before?

And putting small retailers out of business? Since when did the Republican party stop believing in capitalism?

This is 0% about Amazon business practices and 100% about trying to tank their stock because the Washington Post won't be a propaganda tool for him like Fox News.

The postal service operates at a loss due to mail. Their parcel services are profitable, and incidentally compete with UPS/Fedex so raising prices on those would just provoke Amazon to switch and make the postal service lose even more money.

In Louisiana for instance the law is that the citizen is responsible for paying the tax on mail and internet ordered goods

so, it is not Amazon's fault that citizens are violating the tax laws
