So you and Gumbopot, a couple of Trump devotees, are in on it, while everyone else actually believes he modernized our nuclear capabilities in the last 7 months.

According to reports, our nukes were still being run by MSDOS-style programs and computers within the last few years. It's not that hard to believe that in 7 months, some upgrades have happened.

First of all you have no clue what nuclear modernization means so you have zero baseline to compare too.

Second you are assuming the modernization is complete. He did not say that. He said " far stronger and more powerful than ever before".

You have to completely commit yourself to the trump delusion and ignore the basic way the world works, business works and government works to imagine that our nuclear capabilities have been modernized and "are far stronger and more powerful than ever before.." in 7 months of his Presidency. But you've been at this unreality for over a year now.

Many people on this board still don't get Trump's communication style.

Point 1: his words are literally true.
Point 2: his words are intentionally ambiguous.
Point 3: the overarching message gets effectively communicated.

For example this tweet in the OP:

No one in this thread can verify the literal assertions made in Trump's tweet. No one unless you are federal government official with top secret clearance to our nuclear arsenal. And what is that? Maybe 12 people in the world?

Trump is always intentionally ambiguous. Always. This leaves his message open for interpretation by design. Supporters assume the best and defend Trump as anti-Trumpers assume the worse. This conflict is actually beneficial to the overarching message. Because of the conflict the overarching message gets disseminated and solidified in the public conscience.

What is the overarching message in this case? It's a message to NK, "stop the frickery. We continue to have and will use our war capability to wipe you off the map."

That overarching message makes the rich NK generals living the good life that prop up Kim Jong-un nervous especially combined with sanctions from 15 other countries. It also make China nervous and as you know China can nip this situation in the bud pretty quickly.
Many people on this board still don't put as much time and energy into excusing away the actions of their God Emperor.

But do continue, I am entertained.

As if modernizing the nuclear arsenal could even happen that fast. Trump supporters are a dumb lot, completely devoid of critical thinking.

Yeah...they put a fresh coat of valspar on everything...He's obviously trolling, but "critical thinking" and all, which lib's are incapable of....always have amnesia and never think beyond next week. You know, "you have to pass it before you know whats in it" thinking.

I read where this is by design, nearly impossible to hack. Article could be wrong, but I have to believe that it was done like this by design.

No it wasn't. It's easy to speak out of ignorance because you want it to be a lie because you don't like the president.

Do you consider it to be an upgrade when moving from a floppy disk to cd or to a usb drive?

Sorry, several before this, but good try, you at least got yours on the first page. As for Perry not knowing he would be in charge of the nuclear arsenal, that's not a lie. He admitted it and everybody knows it except for the willingly ignorant masses who support this abortion of an administration.

You have a problem with reading into what's being stated. You always have.

Here is his tweet per the OP:

My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal. It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before...

Within a week of being in office Trump did address that via exec order.

The whole picture is that we have slowly been working on this for a decade.

And there's nothing wrong with that. Simpler operating systems do better for single purpose computer system. Also most modern cyber attacks would be vectored through a Windows basis, meaning it is an added layer for our enemies to have to create something that can also attack MS-DOS.

Even if we did want to move these systems from MS-DOS it would take a lot longer than 7 months to do the failsafe testing necessary.

Wrong

YOU say he's lying. Prove that rather than dishonestly asking someone to prove he's telling the truth.
