As a keen student of grammar, I have been forever impressed with the absolute perfection he demonstrates in his utterances. What he says is never great prose or rhetoric, but I'll be damned if he doesn't follow the rules of grammar precisely = almost better than anyone else I've seen. He never makes the common lazy mistakes.

SO - that tells me he didn't actually 'mis-speak.'

I made note of this back in the primary season - as one of his 'good traits.' Back when I was unalterably opposed to his candidacy.

His grammar is perfect. His prose is bad. His poetic skills are non-existent. He is totally unschooled in diplomacy.

I'm OK with all that.

I just wish he had some sort of filter between his brain and his mouth.

He stated many times how proud he is of his education. He has stated many times about how smart he was because he went to college at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
