Why are you so set on SS competence?
What? I'm decidedly set on the opposite.
That entire setup and response was the most incompetent display in the history of US law enforcement.

the Director of the Secret Service told you that the roof was too steep so they put the snipers on the inside of the building.
the same Director still has a job.
She's an incompetent corporate hire given a job by an incompetent corpse that lets unelected twinks run his administration.
The truth is right there and you won't see it. In every other context, the Biden administration is destroying America via massive incompetence and DEI pandering, but in this specific instance they are capable of what would have to have been a massive conspiracy to undermine Trump's security detail? Is it not far more likely that the detail and advance teams and leadership were simply incompetent as well?

Or, just maybe, is it more likely that someone(s) looked the other way for a little while?
I liken it to a tackle and guard being pissed off at their QB and basically waving a red cape at a linebacker charging thru.

RFK Jr didn’t have security until yesterday. Bennie Thompson tried to keep Trump from having security. Logical conclusion is that they wanted those guys gone.

None of these theories pass the common sense test one bit.
Oh that's right...because it's so common for people to not show up, especially for a presidential security detail that often causes a surge in manpower and additional pay opportunities, for no one to know why, for none of this to be relayed, no redundancy or backup manpower to fill in, for no attempt to verify a security post that is less than a 30 second walk, and for an event to proceed with the most important shooting position uncovered.
Why don't you do us all a favor and calculate the joint probability of these events and get back to us, then tell us all about your profound understanding of common sense and most likely scenarios.

You’ve obviously never worked with or known a member of the Secret Service.
I've worked with them a bunch, and not on milk runs for peripheral protectees either.
I've been right in the middle of quite a few POTUS, VPOTUS, FPOTUS protective operations in active war zones and other high threat conflict areas. (Not to mention DSS protective ops for DOD and DOS cabinet level officials, members of Congress, etc. DSS is the equivalent to USSS, just not for POTUS.)
I've seen them be very good and I've seen them do some of the dumbest shite imaginable. As in take Chapter 1, Page 1 stuff and violate it out of pure laziness.
Of the 3 semi-plausible options here:
1. It was a planned government operation
2. It was intentional incompetence (provide poor security and if something happens, something happens)
3. It was incompetence at the USSS, state, and local levels
#1 is a reach
#2 is a probably not, but if anything intentional, then this
#3 is the leader by a long shot
The given, regardless of which of the 3 it was (or another scenario), is that they radicalized the shite out of people and gave them tacit approval to make a go at it.

I'll stop beating my head against the wall. But there is a reason that no serious Republican is beating that drum.
It’s been 76 hours… and there have been many prominent Republicans that have said it. Dan Bongino, Tucker Carlson, Patrick Bet David, Elon Musk, etc.
Yeah, elected officials can’t say it yet, but it’s coming.
It’s now been 76 hours since the attempt. You act as if it’s been 76 weeks.

Intentional incompetence is the same thing as #1.
#1= #2
#1= #2

RFK Jr didn’t have security until yesterday
I have no idea why he would have. He isn't a serious or viable candidate.

So now we are attributing evil genius to one of the dumbest members of Congress?

I have no doubt that they want Trump to go away. The idea that these people were capable of a massive conspiracy to assassinate him, while both simultaneously putting together a terrible plan and not directly implicating themselves, is laughable.

That might be the biggest evidence that the Deep State wants Trump dead. Plus there’s at least a 50/50 chance if not higher that he’ll be in Trump’s cabinet. They want Trump and RFK dead. Them in one administration is the Deep State’s worst nightmare.

This is what I lean toward.

Why though?
Why would RFK have ever in a million years had a detail? Since when does USSS give non-viable third party candidates a detail?

you poor dumb bastard.
you realize the SS doesn't have to conspire with the shooter to be complicit?
all they had to do was to relax security. maybe not secure an obvious sniper perch. maybe put "snipers on the inside".
if you aren't at least asking some questions you are an incredible boot licker.

No it was planned, at least by some of them. #1 is the simplest answer.

Who said I wasn't asking questions?
I have the same questions that other reasonable people have.
"Questions" for me doesn't include some undefinable conspiracy involving Benny Thompson.
