I don't disagree, but we've had an agreement with Europe to help in cases like this for generations. If we were going to abandon that commitment, the time to do it was BEFORE Russia was threatening our allies, not in the middle of a war. I don't agree with the money going to Ukraine because they're corrupt AF and whatever funds aren't being laundered back to the U.S. politicians that approved them are going into Zelensky's offshore accounts. That being said, we have a vested interest in Ukraine winning. I fully support us providing the intelligence and some of our older equipment for their war effort. Some of it was actually slated for destruction anyway and some of it is close to the end of its service life. If I thought this was going to stop with Ukraine, I'd have no problem letting those corrupt assholes twist in the wind, but Ukraine isn't the goal. It just happens to be ON THE WAY to Russia's geographic goals.

Geography isn't your strong suit, is it? The two east-west corridors from Western Europe are the Northern Plains through Poland and a small sliver of land called the Bessarabian Gap between the Carpathian Mountains and the Black Sea. It has always been contested real estate due to its strategic importance as a choke point and is necessary for Russia to protect their oil fields in the Caucasus. Russia has already made the mistake of allowing Romania to use it as an invasion route during Operation Barbarossa. They need that land and don't mind rolling over Ukraine to get it.
