If he already declassified it during his presidency then took it to MAL it would have the status of declassified. That is the purpose of the process so it doesn’t have to be done again
First Archives packed the documents and shipped them down to MAL. Second can you please link the classification/declassification law for presidents.

Oh son. We are as completely and totally as outraged as you and your kind was at the money laundering through the Clinton “Foundation” obviously was and proved it when the “donations” dried up when she lost.
And also as outraged as when you and your kind were when the information was leaked out of the Biden’s getting foreign payments for access, only to be backed up by recently released information, of more foreign payments from countries. The same foreign countries that have gotten very preferable treatment in climate policy and military aid. And one from which is acting hostile to the US around Taiwan.
So you can just see our seething outrage.

A President cannot do that about those particular documents unless Congress gives authority to do so. National Defense is shared with Congress, Constitutionally.
The curious thing is the DOJ NSD can declare anything “national security” after the fact. Very convenient of them to all of a sudden say Trump is in violation of USC 793 when this all could have been avoided when Archives packed the boxes and sent them down to MAL. Setup?

Well, the Trumps have actual businesses that require investment and make money. ???????

How do we know DJT had these, especially nuclear secrets in his possession?

Could be, I wouldn’t doubt it.
Trump is idiotic for falling into that trap, and it was easily avoidable.
It doesn’t make this all less stupid though. None of this should be happening.

We don’t. We have to take the DOJs word for it and I’m sure they are being totally honest in every word of the indictment

I don’t believe this to be true when it comes to National Defense documents.
National defense claims are not based on a document's classification status or not. A milky way candy bar can be deemed a sensitive national defense item.
What will happen on the national defense claims is the supreme court will finally have the ability to reign in those claims.
This thread is about classified documents.

How could you possibly know this? Just admit that you are ok with weaponizing the government against your political enemies.

And the President cannot simply declassify ANY document he wants. There are some that require Congressional approval and process to do so

This ^^^ should be easily proven with a minimal investigation and if any money was received illegally they should be prosecuted.

This dude probably actually believes that Ivanka is photocopying diagnostics for ICBMs and personally hand delivering them to Iranian Shahs for suitcases full of cash

I’m not positive this is true. I’m open to learning, though. The PRA is pretty clear about plenary power. What authority do you have that states that power is limited?

I mean, you are trying to "debate" with people who would take away your kids and jail you for not allowing them to mutilate themselves as young as 5.
Of course he is fine with this. This is what the left always does when they garner power. This is history repeating itself but this time with Idiocracy leading the charge.

I’m 100% positive, it is not a question. The Pres has broad authority but not absolute.
Art 1 Sec 8 gives congress authority over National Defense matters, and that has been interpreted to include classification, which Congress then puts procedures in place through legislation. The President can also, by agreement in legislative act, cede some level of authority over classification and that would bind future presidents.

I definitely heard him say he was declassifying everything, so I’m sure that have the videos to support this, as I watched him say it on TV before he left office
