They werent blatantly talking about tariffs, just a feel good ad about how they have been good trading partners forever and will continue to be, etc. etc.

Ironically they do also mention their supply of energy to the US, they ship a lot of natural gas to New York.

So part of the Marcellus shale formation is in 28 New York counties but they dont allow fracking, and they put a moratorium on gas pipelines from neighboring states. Instead they import from Canada and even import LNG.

Sounds like the threat of tariffs might make Canada bend the knee and make NY reconsider its energy policies. Course that might be easier if the EPA was not donating 325 million to the Sierra Club so they can protest against the gas industry. The EPA is dumping a ton of cash on NGOs as they walk out the door to circumvent Trump's energy push. Aint America great.

You cannot make this up. This is another insane example of how these bureaucrats don’t care about this country at all.

Well, Governor Botox just signed a bill for fossil fuel companies to foot the bill for "climate change" so cutting of natural gas to the Empire State sounds like a big win for New York.

Great timing with this threat since NY just came out saying they don't want fossil fuels anymore. Way to avoid the fines.

Id say Canada is worthless. We need to get them to give us natural resources at a discount to pay us back for all the benefit from being out northern neighbor, but bringing them into our electorate would destroy us.

I have heard some opine that even Alberta would be about the equivalent of Minnesota, politically. So, yeah, bump all that noise about merging with them. It would be a dream come true for progressives.

Yeah that is not a good comparison to have. Frick that noise indeed. Not sure if you saw the thread yesterday about the top porn hub searches per state. MN loves them some futa (aka animated tranny) porn. Walz is the perfect rep for them.

Speaker Johnson funded this.
