Red America holds a convention and returns the power to the people …balanced budget, simplified tax code perhaps no income tax, term limits, etc.

That’s cute that you think the politicians running these states would give up that power.

No, Marxists should be expelled to some other shithole. They can starve their lazy hypothetical utopia asses somewhere else.

The federal government should be about national defense, international relationships and few other big items.

How do you share trade and defense agreements between two groups, one of whom wants to be world police and move towards an integrated globalist worldview with limited individual freedoms and another who hold true to founder era believes around freedom, religion and want to act in a US first way with regard to trade and onshoring jobs?

Of course that would be the preferred route, but if I could be assured of a constitutional reset by letting the other side hold 10% of the territory, I’d settle.

Red American will still be the USA / America. So, Gulf of America. The blue nation would be SoyTopia or Lower Canada, or could just merge on in with Canada.

Government was only supposed to defend the constitution and preserve rights. But, damn how it's expanded through the years.

Respectfully, the self-proclaimed conservatives of this board are applauding the president’s many overreaching executive orders.

His "overreaching" executive orders are reducing the power of the federal government. Why wouldn't I applaud that?

The govt already moves at the speed of a snail. If you splinter into more than 2 it will come to a halt (that may be a good thing).

They'd just keep passing CRs.
