You literally said he should have a platform because of his views. That's called deplatforming

Debates and hoping Trump royally messes up is their only chance. They won't be ducking debates.

I do wonder how Trump would do on the stage against someone who isn’t as hated as Hillary. In the GOP debates, he had the luxury of sharing the stage with 10 other people. He could get into a fight and then hide for 20 minutes. Against Hillary, he didn’t have to get into the weeds on policy or anything because she had an endless amount of flaws.

Not to mention that traditionally, incumbent Presidents can struggle initially in a debate because they are stuck in a bubble for 4 years. Of course Trump isn’t a traditional incumbent.

I don't think there's a person alive afraid of debating Trump. He's a human mad-lib machine.

Why would you ever assume anyone would think otherwise?

I think you have it backwards. Trump is a terrible debater. I'm willing to give credit where it's due, but for him it's not on stage in a debate. He can't keep his mouth shut and ends up looking like a petulant child with the constant interruptions.
But Trump does not realize this, and will likely fire any competent advisor who tries to tell him.

In Trump’s mind, Trump is Clarence Darrow in a debate ... if only Clarence had been a bit less of a loser.

You socialists are weird. I never said it was only my country. What a strange statement.
