She seems to have curried favor with her constituents. 56% of votes with over 50% if precincts reporting.

At this moment, she does not have a majority. What is the rule in Minnesota if a candidate has only a plurality? Runoff?

I checked about an hour ago and she was at 48.6%.

No.

In Texas, if no candidate has a majority, there is a runoff in about a month.

It does not matter. It looks like she gets the outright win today.

even though she won, it's still embarrassing to have 40% of your own party vote for someone else in a primary when you are incumbent.

generally speaking, incumbents tend to get above 75% of the vote.

Looking at the Secretary of State website, there will be a general election. She will have to face Michael Moore of the Legal Marijuana Now Party and Republican, Lacy Johnson. Looking at the party vote totals, it’s a cakewalk for Omar from here.
