The Saudis applaud Biden setting us up for another OPEC generated crisis.

He can say it all he wants, unless he flat outlaws oil, coal and gas production they will be more efficient than green energy for decades. If he does outlaw it he will trigger a revolution when blackouts occur nationwide, food shortages occur and white liberals can't get their wine and cheese.

Do we have any sane democrats in the house and senate who would still vote against these measures? Are there any populists left?

Make sure oil is sourced elsewhere, make sure manufacturing moves elsewhere, maximize unemployment count.

I know numerous people in these industries who are anti-Trump/Biden voters. Sadly, they will probably keep their jobs when things really go to shite and the baws will get laid off.

The oil business will boom! In making the US energy independent, DJT also drove down the price. More regulation by Biden stymies supply, thus increasing price.

It will be interesting to listen to the bitching about $4 gas again.

We were never going to achieve that and even if it could be done and prices don’t collapse and wipe out half the US industry it wouldn’t impact Saudi wealth and our interests would still be aligned with free flowing oil out of the ME. Wide spread adoption of alternatives would have a far greater impact on the Saudis the US energy independence.

The price of fuel will go up under Biden. This will negatively impact the middle class and lower income individuals.

Good. They’ll feel the impact of their vote or support for Communism.

Unlike Louisiana, Texas has a very diverse economy.

Banks and Insurers are backing out of the industry too.

Electric cars is part of their "controlled citizenry" plan.

They just might convert Air force One to 100% solar. It might even be able to fly on cloudy days if done right.

The arab countries don't have the industrial capacity to keep their militaries strong and "happy ($$$)" enough to keep their regimens in power. They could leverage oil in exchange for the US military being their security guards or at least military sells where the USA picked up part of the bill so the regimen(s) could afford to keep its military officers rich and happy. When the USA became energy independent the arab countries could no longer use oil as a negotiating tool. So in order to keep the USA from completely telling the ME to f**k off they had to offer something else. That something else was better relationships with Israel (which in the long run should lead to a more stable region and less reason(s) to have a US military presence there) and paying a closer to a fair price for military gear. So energy independence was not only the key to bringing multiple arab states to the table and signing peace deals with Israel as well as keeping the USA out of any more conflicts in the ME*.

*I still think that we would have gone to war with Iran last year if covid did not hit. It hit the USA hard but it really hurt Iran.

Oil and gas prices are on the rise like most knew they would under Biden, and it’s not even done yet. They Dems full on assault on the cost of living impact to the middle class and poor is just getting started. However, they don’t care their goal is ultimately a living wage with full control of your mind, body and property.
