I fully expect the last three days of his term to be surreal.
I also expect his repeated statements after he is out of office regarding Trump's actions on any variety of issues to be borderline seditious. As I have maintained for quite some time, I begrudgingly voted for Trump. However, I will stipulate that his ability to counter punch in the court of public opinion (consisting of the average ignorant voter) is unmatched.

Exactly why does Israel need to have these settlements in Palestinian territory other than to grab land and continue in their quest to purge the Palestinians from the land that they've occupied for centuries? Israel knows damn well there will never be peace as long as they continue with their expansion.

Whatever your opinion on the issue, you don't do it in the final weeks of your presidency especially when you know the incoming president doesn't agree. He had 8 years to work this and instead laid a big turd on the international stage for the rest of us to deal with.

I don't really give a shite about the details of the resolution. The issue, which was the reason Trump gave for intervening, is that there will never be peace until the Israelis and Palestinians negotiate themselves on their own terms.
Being forced to do things by the UN or other groups will never work, and produce temporary results at best.

Personally, I don't evision a peace between them in the next 50 years, but Trump appointing a Jewish ambassador to Israel who is pro-settlement will do more harm to the negotiations than the UN resolutions. Israel doesn't give a damn about resolutions anyway. This is all cosmetic. The Zionist Apartheid regime must know that the only way for them to get what they want is to exterminate the inhabitants of the land they want.
So, why doesn't Israel stop the settlements - they are willing to endure a 3rd Intifada for that Goddamn land and the cycle of hatred only grows.
