Second, Iran’s delegation must have full authority from the IRGC to finalize a deal.

I understand the play here, but I am uncomfortable with the idea. I want those players GONE.

I know at the end of this they are gone. Just impatient I guess.

who would be hitting that?

If I had to guess I'd say Israel. How they're hitting it is an interesting question too.

It gives Iran yet another reason to delay. I don’t like it either

But why waste time if the negotiator's can't deliver on a deal? I'm OK with this precondition.

I agree. You always want people with authority in the room. You’re more likely to have a successful negotiation. I always hated it when the other side had to go back to ones with real authority. It was always more BS than ones that didn’t have to.

I get the sense that nobody knows who has real authority and if they did know who they would have a very short life expectancy.

Treasury is moving aggressively with Economic Fury, maintaining maximum pressure on Iran. Financial institutions should be on notice that the department is leveraging the full range of available tools and authorities and is prepared to deploy secondary sanctions against foreign financial institutions that continue to support Iran’s activities. The short-term authorization permitting the sale of Iranian oil already stranded at sea is set to expire in a few days and will not be renewed.

This explains the explosions at the Jeyhun–Imam Khomeini intersection. Looks like slowly, those who can are fighting back against the regime. First attacks with rifles against police and IRGC vehicles, now car bombs.

Apparently a "full closure" of the Strait like the 'Panicans were hyperventilating about even 24 hrs ago is not as full of a closure as you would read on X or Truth Social for that matter.

Appears commercial traffic is transiting if it avoids Iranian-origin cargo or ports. That distinction matters.

It shows selective, targeted pressure rather than blanket disruption.

Something the US Navy is particularly good at.
