Understand - our son had 2 tours to Iraq. During the surge and after the surge. He said after was a bit hairier as the shield of protection had been removed. During the surge a bird in Iraqi airspace was known about

Appreciate his service

I'm skeptical of that account. I've seen no indication Trump was ready to end the hostilities if Iran would simply open the strait.

Anyone naive enough to believe anything China says?

Trump is scheduled to visit Chyna a month from today.

Do you think he would be going if he believed Chyna was suppling Iran with weapons that would be used against our troops?

Just yesterday, Trump said this:

quote:

Xi would like to see Iran war ended.

You should be skeptical of anything posted by Ailsa or AlterEd.

They like to just throw random shite at the wall to see what will stick.

They do no due diligence and take no accountability for stuff that they post that turns out to be fake or incorrect.

Two Iran-linked vessels that passed through the Strait of Hormuz after a US blockade was imposed have changed direction and appear to be heading back, BBC Verify reported, citing ship-tracking data.

The US-sanctioned tanker Rich Starry, which reported carrying cargo, sailed east from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates through the strait overnight before reversing course, the report said.

Bulk carrier Christianna, which crossed the strait on Monday after calling at Iran’s Bandar Imam Khomeini, has likewise now changed direction, the report added.

CENTCOM: Seized ships to be escorted out of Hormuz region

United States Central Command confirms that vessels seized for violating the Hormuz blockade will be escorted out of the area, either to the Arabian Sea or the Indian Ocean.

The policy outlines how enforcement actions will be handled as maritime operations intensify around the Strait of Hormuz.

Received a call from my friend President Donald Trump. We reviewed the substantial progress achieved in our bilateral cooperation in various sectors. We are committed to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas. We also discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure.

More than 10,000 U.S. Sailors, Marines, and Airmen along with over a dozen warships and dozens of aircraft are executing the mission to blockade ships entering and departing Iranian ports. During the first 24 hours, no ships made it past the U.S. blockade and 6 merchant vessels complied with direction from U.S. forces to turn around to re-enter an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman.

The blockade is being enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. U.S. forces are supporting freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports.

Speaking to reporters ahead of talks with the Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors, @SecRubio
said the meeting will begin a process to permanently end Hezbollah’s influence.

“I know some of you are shouting questions about ceasefires. This is a lot more than just about that. This is about bringing a permanent end to 20 or 30 years of Hezbollah’s influence in this part of the world — not just the damage that’s its has inflicted on Israel, but the damage that it has inflicted on the Lebanese people."

I don't have a problem with people who bring different viewpoints to the thread. I actually find it useful to read the other side's propaganda. Ailsa's stuff is mostly interesting and not particularly one sided that I've noticed.

The blockade is working!

"Something could be happening over the next two days, and we're more inclined to go there," Trump tells the NYP

"It's more likely, you know why? Because the field marshal is doing a great job."

Trump to the NYP:

"You should stay there, really, because something could be happening over the next two days, and we're more inclined to go there.

It's more likely, you know why? Because the field marshal [Pakistan army chief Asim Munir] is doing a great job."

"He's fantastic, and therefore it's more likely that we go back there," Trump said.
