Fair enough but that blocked airspace means at least 2-4 air refuelings in and the same out.

That's a good Nato ally for you.

Here here. Russia has proven that it is not a capable defeating Ukraine let alone the combined military force of Ukraine + Europe. It is time to pull American assets back to positions that protect America or at least serve a role in protecting America's interests. I.e. the naval base at Souda Bay in Greece is important for keeping the sea lanes to and from the Suez Canal safe and open which is in America's best interests. Having military bases in Germany whose only purpose is to protect Europe is not in out interests.

Not a bad idea but Egypt will be pissed they are not included since they will lose out on the toll revenue through the Suez.

That’s not true. There are centuries of examples where countries destroy all of their own lands just so the conquerors can’t have it either.

I am going to get down voted for this because you people hate Ukraine standing up to your beloved Putin. However I do not care about downvotes. It is nice to see Ukraine who does not have a formal defense treaty with the USA doing things that countries with formal defense treaties with the USA refuse to do.

Seems awfully low...

Perhaps instead of building giant missile target aircraft carriers, DoD should be investing more heavily in submarines... Which... You know, are impervious to drone and missile attacks.

Which China has been doing bigly recently.

I agree NATO should be doing more, but to say "NATO isn't helping us at all" is just flatly false. In fact, we wouldn't have been able to conduct our air campaign with anything like its current sortie level without using NATO bases. That's just a fact.

I don't count getting out of our way as actually helping.

I can't disagree with you on this. I think we should be open to any offered assistance.

You can’t be that dense. The Russians did it to napoleon. Dracula did it to the ottomans. The Romans did it to Hannibal.

They’re the only “SSGN” submarines we have right now. They’re ballistic missile submarines AKA boomers that have been converted to be cruise missile arsenal ships.

Our attack submarines also carry land attack missiles.

REGIME COLLAPSE INDICTORS | GraySpace Strategic Warning Group | 31 March 2026

Bottom line: Collapse indicators are increasing; the regime is still holding through coercion rather than breaking, but the cracks are widening.

What got worse today

Repression intensified: Tehran warned that aiding “hostile states” can bring the death penalty and asset seizure; authorities say they have made 1,000+ arrests in the past month and filed about 200 indictments.

Executions continued: Iran executed two more PMOI-linked men today, after two similar executions the day before.

The regime is preparing for internal unrest, not just war: Reuters reports Tehran fears post-war economic collapse and is using the IRGC and Basij to harden control in advance.

Manpower strain is visible: Basij-linked checkpoint and patrol manpower has reportedly expanded to include volunteers as young as 12, which suggests anxiety about sustaining internal control.

External pressure is not easing: Israel said today it is prepared to keep striking Iran for “weeks to come.”

What says it is not collapse yet

The regime still has a functioning coercive apparatus.

There is still no clear evidence of cascading elite defections or sustained multi-city anti-regime uprisings in the core urban centers.

What would signal real collapse

Elite defections or open splits that paralyze decision-making.

Failure to hold checkpoints and security control in major cities.

Sustained protests in multiple core population centers at once.

Signs the regime cannot keep paying, fueling, or supplying the security services.
