The interruption by Schiff didn't occur until Vindman mentioned that the other person he spoke with was a member of the intel community.

Vindman and whistleblower still work together on US policy toward Ukraine

quote:

Alexander Vindman, the Army lieutenant colonel and Ukraine director on the National Security Council who testified on Capitol Hill last month, works with the whistleblower who filed a complaint against President Trump, according to former White House officials.

The Washington Examiner has established that the whistleblower is a career CIA analyst who was detailed to the NSC at the White House during the Obama administration and left during the first year of the Trump administration. During the Obama administration, the whistleblower worked on Ukraine issues with 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden, who was then vice president and designated as the point man on Ukraine. It is likely that the whistleblower traveled on Air Force Two at least one of the six visits that Biden made to Ukraine.

Now, the Washington Examiner has confirmed that the whistleblower continues to work within the U.S. intelligence community on Ukraine and related regional issues. Separately, the Washington Examiner has established that Eric Ciaramella, who was named by one outlet last week as the whistleblower, is now a deputy national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia on the National Intelligence Council, reporting to the director of national intelligence. During the Obama administration and the start of the Trump administration, Ciaramella was Ukraine director on the NSC, the post Vindman now holds.

Correct. But err on the side of caution if you may be outing the possible whistleblower.

But no one knows who the whistleblower is. Why can't you comprehend this?

He could have already outed the whistleblower and we wouldn't know it.

Why stop him from naming this particular individual? He's dropped many, many names in the IC in his depositions so far.

There is nothing remotely credible about his allegation.

But how do we know unless we investigate? Must investigate, & allow the investigation to go on uninterrupted, to find out if crimes were committed. Things are definitely shady! Investigate!!!

You're basically asking why there is a Whistleblower Protection Act.

You're not addressing the fact that the CIA got busted in a leak trap, and they're desperately flailing as they attempt to couch this in the WPA. Spies are not whistleblowers.

Besides, Whistleblowers are protected from reprisals, not guaranteed anonymity. CIA assets do not qualify.

This is not CrimeStoppers.

Q. Vindman, you are aware now that the WB went to Schiff's staff before drafting the WB complaint, right?

Q. Vindman, I'm not asking you to name anyone, but is the person you spoke with in the intelligence community the same person who went to Schiff's staff?

Why is the anonymity of Eric CIAramella so important to Schiff?

Schiff doesn't want it to be officially known that he and his staff coordinated with Vindman and Ciaramella.

And just think, these are their best pre screened witnesses.

The ones that said shite they didn't like they didn't invite back to do so publicly.

Ciaramella needs to be permanently reassigned to assess Russian interference in the Bering Strait.

Now why hasn't Trump had the DOJ open up an investigation into the allegation?

It's because he wanted it off the books.
