When @Jack's head finally spins off into another dimension and he terminates @realDonaldTrump's twitter account, Parler is going to be the landing spot for free speech in social media.

If you're only into following celebrity accounts, you're likely not impacted by free speech (i.e. conservative wrongthink) limitations on Twitter, so you wouldn't be in the market to make the move.
The prefab argument against this is that "Parler is an alt-right echo chamber".

GAB had this happen, and their answer was to re-engineer their site that their mobile browser page effectively functions as an app.
Personally, I prefer GAB, but the big names aren't on there like Parler. I saw the writing on the wall when they started sponsoring Dan Bongino.

At the end of the week, last week, Dan Bongino announced that he's taken an investor stake in Parler. He didn't talk numbers, but apparently thousands of new accounts were created afterwards.

Trump should already be using another platform as a backup. You can tell Twitter is building towards a ban. They are gonna time it for maximum election impact.

It's not a bad platform. Hopefully, there will be continual upgrades as more users migrate over. I am still on Twitter because that is where the fun is, for now, anyway.
