Dems are banking on independents breaking hard for them and I just don’t see it happening.
I do not have any statistics to back this up, but common sense would say that if they voted for an unproven and unpolished Trump in 2016, they damn sure are not going to vote Dem in 2018 after seeing him kick arse and take names while the Dems just slide further into loonyville.

Arizona in Maricopa County the County Recorder Fontes who is the top elections officer in Arizona's largest county said “This election looking more like the presidential election in the number of ballots we have coming in."
2018: 86,000 ballots cast in person in 1st 4 hours.
2016: 350,000 cast all day.
Maricopa is Republican heavy and as goes Maricopa County so goes Arizona. This means the Republicans are in great shape.

I followed along with this guy in 2016 and he called every state correctly for trump by about 5pm on election day. Twitter... LINK
Take it for what it's worth, but he's claming based on exit polls Tester will lose Montana.

Exit polls are a frickin farce..but man I hope he's right
eta: he seems to have a lot of "I have a source..." posts.
SO I don't think we'll know anything truly until late tonight
