Democrats at least used to pretend about the working class. 30 years ago, "it's the economy stupid" was what got a country boy from Arkansas elected President against basically a wartime incumbent.
Now posters like xiv, Decatur and NawlinsTiger scoff at the backbone of this country as flyover rubes and rednecks. The people in flyover country are those who feed this country and those who fight its illegitimate and imperialist wars. Trump got these people. He, at the very least, spoke to millions of working class Americans who the left completely abandoned for identity politics and social justice freaks.
Normal people don't give a shite about what happened on January 6th, because they're more concerned about gas costs, grocery costs and paying their rent or mortgage. It's amazing how completely out of touch with normal people Democrats have become.
