No they didn't fact check her.. They allowed Harris to repeat old debunked quotes from Trump.. The "Fine people on both sides" "Bloodbath" with zero checks.. Nothing has been proven about the earrings.. I doubt it will be brought up by the media... But the earrings sure do look like the ones that are advertised as earpieces...

Trump had many opportunities to simply stay on message, to continue to press her to define her positions, and her failure on the borders, but he didn't.
The moderators were clearly wanting to fact check him, but not interrupt her, so they were terribly biased.
I'm overall disappointed, hoping that Trump would stay on message. Who knows how this one and only debate will impact voting.

When she avoided one of the questions and brought up Trump's rallies and people leaving early because of boredom... That is when Trump went off the rails and passed an opportunity to lay waste on immigration.. The dumbass took her bait... That is when he also went into the cats and dogs being eaten in Ohio rant... Trump wasted so many opportunities because he was defending against Harris' lies...

The GOP has been so overtaken by fringe lunatics, and are so stuck in their own bubble, that they can't tell what messages will play with the normies. Cats and dogs? Concepts of a plan? Some guy called Abdul?

I think this is right. He used to know how to cross the info-spheres, but he's living in the Newsmax/Truth-Social universe now and losing some ability to relate to people not in that informational environment.

Yeah and to go further, this stuff was hitting in 2016, I remember spirit cooking, Hillary having strokes, Bill Clinton is a rapist - this stuff was in the right place and it was hitting with the right people.
Particularly on the Clinton rapist thing, Alex Jones was having fun with it and making people feel involved while Bannon was fricking ruthless and brought his victims to a debate, which was a more grave and serious look.
There was stuff about Isis using American military gear being passed around on Facebook and it was bullshite but it was only being passed around between the people who wanted to hear it. Trump is taking this stuff mainstream, and 35% of the voters are going to be cheering while the rest of us are gonna be shaking our heads.

I'm gonna just point out here that no, I don't remember Joe Biden having special contact lenses that allowed him to see information.

The only clips of the debate that are being discussed today are the Haitians/Dogs/Cats/Ducks. Trump has brought more attention to the illegal immigration issue that the DNC cares to acknowledge. Brilliant move
